Today, our MYP 5 students presented their Personal Project products – a culminating and compulsory component of the IB Middle Years Programme.

The Personal Project is a student-centered, independent inquiry that brings together the knowledge, skills, and attitudes developed throughout the MYP. It provides students with an opportunity to apply Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills in a real and meaningful context, including research, self-management, communication, and critical and creative thinking.

Throughout the process, students identified a personal interest, formulated a clear goal, developed success criteria, and engaged in sustained inquiry and reflection. The final presentations highlighted not only the products themselves, but also the learning journey – evidence of perseverance, problem-solving, and growth as independent learners.

An important element was the exchange of experiences with our sister school, International High School of Wrocław. This collaboration strengthened the sense of a shared learning community and reflected the IB values of international-mindedness, open-minded communication, and learning through collaboration.

The Personal Project encourages students to embody the IB Learner Profile attributes, particularly being reflective, principled, and knowledgeable, while preparing them for the challenges of the Diploma Programme and lifelong learning.

We invite you to take a look at a few photos from today’s presentations and celebrate this important milestone in our students’ IB MYP journey.
