From March 24th to 28th, we are celebrating the power of languages through a variety of engaging activities for PYP and MYP students during WIS Language Week.

Monday:

  • A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words – PYP students create illustrations and label them in different languages.

  • Language Fun Facts – MYP4 students share interesting linguistic facts about our teachers.

Tuesday – Friday:

  • Exploring the “Languages” of Music, Math, Art, Games & PE – Interactive flipcharts in the PYP corridor.

  • Wall of Questions – MYP students explore global languages through QR code clues.

Wednesday:

  • Word to Definition – PYP students match quirky English words with their meanings.

  • A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words – PYP and MYP students label illustrations in their native languages.

Thursday:

  • “Whisper & Show” Game – A fun challenge using actions instead of words.

  • Escape Room – Students unlock language-based clues to escape the theatre.

Friday:

  • Sticker Frenzy – PYP students design and wear stickers with words in their native languages.

  • Kahoot – Fun Facts – A student-led quiz on our teachers’ language skills.

This week has been a wonderful celebration of the diversity and richness of languages. It’s been exciting to see our students actively engage in learning about and appreciating different cultures and languages. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this week a memorable experience!
