From February 27 till March 3 WIS celebrates Literacy and Mother Tongue Week to promote reading and writing in English and mother tongues of our students. The theme for this year is “50 words story”. The students will be writing in their mother tongues or in English a quote or a sentence which can give a positive energy for the rest of the day. They will participate in DEAR – Drop Everything and Read. Teachers will explain the idea of 50 word story and make an introduction to Scottish Book Trust competition and finally the students will write their 50 word stories in both English and their mother tongues. All stories will be posted in the school. Some of them will be published on WIS internal Facebook fanpage. The English language stories will be posted to the Scottish Book Trust competition.

It is going to be an exciting literacy week!
