As a part of Mother Tongue Week celebrated in our school last week
the WIS teachers have organized themselves in a Mother Tongue Committee to plan themes for the event.

One of them was an action: Poem in your Pocket – a day when the WIS were supposed to choose a poem and bring it with them to online classes.

Ms. Rhett Morrell, PYP Grade 5 Teacher, decided to have her students record themselves reading chosen poems in their mother tongues out loud instead of sharing the poems during a live lesson, and then she shared the link with other teachers. So she created a FlipGrid topic for the students to record themselves. Thanks to this we can now enjoy the moments of listening to beautiful voices reading in different languages poetic lines for longer!
