Grade 5 is learning about the power of microorganisms in the unit “To Rot or Not to Rot”. Today they were making radish kimchi.
They were learning how to use lactobacillus bacteria to ferment radishes so that they can be preserved for many months. This delicious side-dish is eaten with rice, soup, or meat in Korea.
Korean Mums were teaching the 5th Graders and supervising the whole process. Thank you all!
