Celebrating multilingualism at Wroclaw International School

Language Week at WIS took place from March 16–20, bringing together students across the school to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity.

As part of the program, MYP students and PYP 4 and 5 students participated in a photography contest focused on multilingualism. Younger PYP students created posters that highlighted the importance of learning languages from an early age. The event was further enriched by the involvement of parents and teachers, who read to PYP students in multiple languages, supporting language development and international-mindedness.

One of the main highlights for MYP students was the Language Week Escape Room, where participants solved language-based puzzles and challenges. The Spanish Disco, organized by Spanish language students, was another key event that combined language learning with cultural experience.

PYP students concluded Language Week with a multilingual performance of the popular song “Baby Shark,” showcasing their enthusiasm for language learning in a fun and engaging way.

Language Week at WIS is an important initiative that promotes multilingual education, cultural awareness, and student engagement. We would like to thank Ms. Sylwia and the Language Committee for organizing this successful event.
