Parents play an important role in the life of our school. The WIS Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) brings together parents, teachers and other members of the school community who want to support students, strengthen connections and help create a warm, welcoming environment for all families.

How the PTA works

The PTA meets regularly, including during informal Coffee Mornings, to talk about school life, share ideas and discuss current topics in a friendly and open atmosphere.

The association has an elected board, including a chairperson, vice chairperson, treasurer and secretary, as well as several sub-committees. PTA representatives also meet from time to time with the Head of School and the Director of Schools to exchange information and strengthen cooperation across the school community.

Support for new families

Starting at a new school, especially in a new country, can feel like a big step. The PTA helps new families settle into life at WIS by offering a warm welcome, practical information and opportunities to connect with other parents.

When you join WIS, you will receive a PTA welcome letter and information about who can help you settle into school life and everyday life in Wrocław.

Activities

The PTA helps bring the WIS community together through a range of social events, volunteer initiatives and parent-led activities. These may include gatherings for parents and families, support for school events, fundraising for charitable causes and practical help with selected school projects.

The PTA also supports wider community life by helping organise clubs, accompanying class trips and responding to requests from teachers and the school where parent involvement can make a meaningful difference.

The PTA gives parents and teachers the opportunity to work together towards shared goals and contribute to school life in meaningful ways. All parents and teachers are warmly encouraged to get involved, whether they have a lot of time to offer or just a little. New ideas, energy and support are always welcome.
