Environmental Education and Sustainability in an IB World School
At Wroclaw International School, Earth Week plays a key role in promoting environmental education and sustainable development. As an IB World School, we embed the values of global responsibility, environmental awareness, and student action into our daily teaching and learning.
Hands-On Learning: Earth Week Activities
During Earth Week, our students participated in a variety of engaging, hands-on activities designed to build environmental awareness. These included safe rubbish picking, an educational scavenger hunt, and guided nature walks. Through these experiences, students developed collaboration skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of how their actions impact the environment.
Our international school in Wrocław is proud to be awarded the Green Flag Award as part of the Eco-Schools programme. This internationally recognised distinction highlights our ongoing commitment to sustainability, eco-friendly initiatives, and environmental responsibility within the school community.
International School Wrocław – Developing Global Citizens
As an IB school in Poland, we focus on shaping responsible global citizens who are aware of environmental challenges and motivated to take action. Earth Week is just one example of how we support students in becoming proactive, caring, and environmentally conscious individuals.
We believe that even small, everyday actions can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
