WIS is a certified IB World School. The International Baccalaureate Organization monitors teaching at WIS. The school provides a continuum of the IB programmes from Primary Years Programme to IB Diploma Programme. In September 2007 already the school began implementing the PYP and the MYP. As of May 2011 Wroclaw International School was the first and only school in Poland authorized to offer both the International Baccalaureate programmes. In 2015 the school was certified to deliver also the IB Diploma Programme. Today the IB DP is realized in WIS sister-school International High School of Wrocław, run by the same governing body – Foundation of International Education.
Modernity is not only about educational program, but also about inspiring learning environment. From September 2016 we offer learning in the purpose-built modern campus, Center for International Education, considered to be one of the most modern school campuses in the country. 12 000 m2 contains everything you need in the school of the 21st century. Everything, what inspires a young man to learn, to grow and to create.
WIS is taking enrollments for the next school and the following school years. We can also offer several free spots in WIS grades in the current school year. Are you interested in becoming a part of our vibrant international community? Please read how to enroll HERE. If you want to find out more about our school, have questions to the Head of School or coordinators, please do not hesitate to contact our Admission Officer or WIS Office.
Since 2017, students of all schools of the Foundation of International Education have been participating in the extensive, international Wolves Athletic Program. It is a unique project on a national scale.
The program currently offers over a dozen sports disciplines for students of all ages. Classes are completely free of charge and take place on the school campus after lessons. The timetable changes seasonally, within trimesters of each school year. Thanks to this, each student can try their hand at various disciplines. Older students involved in sports teams take part in international tournaments in Poland and abroad and host teams from other international schools, organizing tournaments in the school premises.
The Sport Director and program’s creator, Mr. Nathan Cooper, PE teacher and coach from the USA looks after the organization. Classes are conducted by qualified coaches from WIS staff and by professional sports clubs cooperating with us.
WIS students represent more than 30 nationalities from all around the world. They prepare to meet the challenges of an increasingly dynamic and complex global culture. A continuum of the IB programmes offers excellent curricular frameworks for this. Our multi-national and multi-cultural school community is a vivacious, stimulating environment for holistic development of not only academic competences but also social, emotional and physical skills.
